We have just finished our final action in the FOTEL Project - Teacher Training and the Conference.
The active training on using Forum Theatre against Early School Leaving was conducted for about 30 participants and trainers from more than five countries who took part in the active workshops and prepared a Forum Theatre play. Its goal was to present methodology and also a very practical aspects of the idea how Critical Incident method and Forum Theatre technique can be helpful in combating ESL.
The Chance at school, chance in life – with artistic tools against early school leaving conference took place as the concluding event of the Project FOTEL. Its aim was to present – through lectures and practical sessions – the results of the project, so the impacts of the Forum Theatre methodology applied by teachers on reducing the risk of early school leaving. Also the conference provided an opportunity for an international discourse about the problem of early school leaving and the application of artistic tools in education. We hosted primarily professionals from the field of education, training, community development and art from Hungary and from several European countries.
